IT Manager

Job Overview:

Reporting to the Chief Information Officer the successful candidate will be responsible for the supervision and maintenance of all computer systems within the company.  They will ensure that these services run smoothly by monitoring their efficiency, maintain security and also analyse usage throughout every department.

You will keep up to date with current Technology Developments & techniques and ensure that the IT department functions are executed in line with the Company strategy and Values.

Key Duties:

Manage information technology and computer systems
Supporting the onsite hardware and networks
Monitor and report on IT objectives and ensure that any areas of concern are raised in a timely manner and strategic solutions proposed are implemented
Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
Supervise daily operations of network server infrastructure
Align the IT Strategy with the current Business Strategy
Support any IT stakeholder projects
Plan, organize, control and evaluate IT and electronic data operations
Manage IT staff by recruiting, training and coaching employees, communicating job expectations and appraising their performance
Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures
Manage the ticketing system
Maintain an asset list of IT equipment across the Re-Gen group
Preserve assets, information security and control structures
Assessing and purchasing of new and replacement hardware
Assuring that all IT activities are within the applicable laws
Communicate key information to Stakeholders
Any other duties deemed necessary by management.

Essential Criteria:

Hold a Third level qualification in Computer Science
Minimum 5 years proven experience in IT Management
Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems
Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation
Excellent organisational and analytical skills
Ability to work toward tight schedules and deadlines and problem solving
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Full Driving Licence and access to own transport
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Highly motivated with a positive attitude to any change

Duration: Full Time Permanent

Location: Newry

Remuneration: Attractive
