Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF)

Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) is produced from Household Residual Waste and as such has a lower calorific value than Solid Recovered Fuel (SRF). This fuel can be provided to customers specifications by the addition of non-recyclable fraction from our Mixed Dry Recyclable processing.

The inbound materials are processed to remove both metals and non-combustible fractions, before being treated to control both flying pests and for odour control. The fuel is then baled and wrapped in multiple layers of wrap to ensure the integrity of the finished product through to end destination.

Our consultative and partnering approach provides the end user with a fuel to their specification and in a way which best suits their logistical requirements. Regardless of the final destination; to generate electricity or for combined heat and power, Re-Gen will be a reliable and dependable partner.

Re-Gen’s location just 11km from sea freight gives us harbour side storage and access for the most efficient logistics.
