Job Overview:

We are currently recruiting for the role of Maintenance Technician with the overall purpose of this role is to repair and maintain a variety of machinery. You will be joining our growing team based in our site in Newry working within a Waste to Energy plant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out inspection and repairs to machinery
• Operating heavy goods machinery
• Welding
• Work independently attending and managing and ensuring all repairs are controlled and rectified efficiently
• Ensure all correct documentation is completed and accurate records maintained
• Ensuring workload is prioritised and deadlines met
• Comply with Health and Safety policy at all times and adopt safe methods of working
• Keep workshop clear and tidy

Essential Criteria:

• Welding experience
• Ability to work safely as part of a team
• Ability to use own initiative and work unsupervised
• Ability to work to tight deadlines
• Good communication skills
• The ability to use, repair and maintain machines and tools
• The ability to work well with your hands
• Problem-solving skills
• Practical skills for repairing and maintaining equipment
• Good attention to detail

Desirable Criteria:

• Previous experience of working in maintenance environment

Duration: Fixed Term with possibility of permanent pending on satisfactory work performance and Operation demands

Location: Newry

Hours of Work: Full time and Part time, Shift Work
