Human Resources Assistant

Job Overview:

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist the recruiting managers with developing job descriptions, preparing advertisements, engaging with agencies, review applications, shortlist, interview and offer
  • Ensure collation of monitoring information for all vacancies and completion of necessary paperwork for the preparation of the annual Equal Opportunities Return.
  • The administration of all aspects of Recruitment and onboarding processes for vacancies
  • Co-ordinate and assist with new starter inductions, ensuring tailored induction plans are in place
  • Update and maintain the HR system in regard to absence, employee details, recruitment details etc
  • Assist line managers in ensuring that all probation periods are reviewed in a timely manner
  • Maintain training records and pay and benefit details
  • Provide information, support, and advice on HR matters to support the business and promote good practice
  • Support Line Managers with employee relations issues, assisting at low level disciplinary meetings
  • Provide comprehensive admin support for the Group HR Manager
  • Provide administrative and clerical support to HR meetings and collate and prepare information
  • Follow up on organisation and administration of Company training initiatives
  • Undertake ad hoc duties and projects as delegated by the Group HR Manager

Essential Criteria:

  • 3rd level qualification in Human Resources or Business Studies
  • At least one years’ experience working within HR/Recruitment
  • Experience of interview management
  • Excellent attention to detail, prioritisation, and organisational skills
  • Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels
  • Positive and proactive attitude
  • Excellent IT skills in using Microsoft Packages
  • Previous experience of using Hallmark PAMS or North Time Data HR systems
  • Ability to work to the Company Values
  • Full driving license

 

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience of working with a Graduate and Apprenticeship population – academies, graduate schemes etc
  • Be working towards or be CIPD qualified
